First Responders, made up of Emergency Medical Services, Fire Departments, Corrections, Law Enforcement, and Public Safety Communication Officers are separated by specialty, but bound together through adversity. We are capable of functioning under extreme stress and are often the calm within the storm for the citizens we serve.
Each member has sworn to serve as a guardian of society from the evils of both man and nature and stand together throughout their careers never leaving one another behind. Despite valiant efforts, sometimes we fall in the line of duty. Death may take some of us, but many more are injured in the line of duty and face uncertainty about their future.
Helping First Responders
It is with this in mind that the 1st Alliance is working to bring together First Responders and a variety of resources that can assist in this time of need. The same bond that helps us serve our fellow man during our career exists in each and every injured First Responder. We can help each other and working together, the Alliance can reach across the country so that no First Responder or their family is left alone to manage a line of duty injury, no matter the form.
We have three primary goals:
- Provide a central, GLOBAL support database so First Responders can confidentially find spiritual and emotional help
- Form an alliance of First Responders that can change legislation and benefits
- Collect post traumatic stress injury and suicide data that can be presented to affect change
1st Alliance is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization
